As many of you know I attended in February and it was the best time of my life. If you haven't attended yet then what are you waiting for? If you are planning on attending you should definitely send me an email. I would love to meet some of you! From my experience in February I thought I would share some of my main tips for #NYFW. Keep reading for more, also remember to download the freebie to receive an email list with the main PR emails to attend.

  • Stay in a hotel close to the shows

Unfortunately, I decided to stay in the first hotel I stayed the very first time I was in NYC because I was already familiar with the area and I didn't want to stay somewhere that I didn't know where I was. Long story short, I spent so much money in Lyft, Uber, Juno, Taxi - you name it. My best advice is to stay in a hotel around the same area of your main shows. This will make it so much easier for you to either walk to the place or just spend less money on a car ride.
Quick small tip: the photographers are all around the area when you are walking so you can get an amazing street style photo or even a video if you stay a few blocks behind!

  • Make a schedule

Yessss! This is very needed. Believe me, you will forget everything if you don't write it down. I really recommend to even write down the addresses in case you need to grab a taxi. I used google sheets and I downloaded it to my iPhone. It was so easy to just check what was the next thing to do. I know the phone calendar does the same thing but I feel like it is all over the place. Google sheets really worked for me the best way possible.

  • You can't make it to every show

Sad truth! And this is kind of like a part two of your schedule. There is no way you can make it to all of them. Which leads me to the next step by telling you to pick shows 2 hours apart from each other. Unless it is at the same venue then you can probably make it to the next one since you don't have to get a taxi to take you to your next location. If there is a show in which is only an hour apart and it is at another venue it'll be impossible for you to make it to the next location. Usually, you have to be 20 minutes early in order to get inside the show, however; most of the times every show starts after the time is assigned and this will delay you towards your other shows. Even if they start late, they won't let you go in.

  • Bring a backpack

Believe me, you will need it - Why? Because you receive so many goodies and maybe you can even bring some comfortable shoes inside. Bring something stylish but yet with enough storage for you to save everything in there. If you don't like using a backpack then opt in for a clutch or something that has enough for you to take with you.

  • Be colorful - Catch attention!

This is something I noticed a lot - photographers love anything that pops out, any color, anything that you can wear other than black will totally catch every photographers eye. As I mentioned earlier stay at least a block away and walk the whole street to get to the venue, this will be your best chance in order to check some awesome pictures from the photographers!
